Day 95 - The Holy Spirit's Voice Louder

 Focal Scripture: John 8:21-30

    Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we look at the book of John, its 8th chapter verses, 21-30. Let’s head into it. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/JHN.8.21-30

    In this scripture, we see Jesus talking about the Jewish authorities that cannot see the place where Jesus is going or cannot go to the place where Jesus is going. Today, we are going to talk about why it’s a good thing to not follow the Jewish authorities/the Priests of that time (when Jesus was present). And the big importance of preaching.

    The first thing we're going to talk about is, why it’s a good thing to not follow the Jewish authorities (or the Priests at the time when Jesus was in the world). It is a good thing because if we follow the Jewish authorities we are doing the exact opposite of what Jesus wants (mentioned in Day 94 - https://thebiblescoop.blogspot.com/2023/04/day-94-what-god-requires-of-us.html). 

    Now we might be thinking what does Jesus want? Jesus wants us as close as possible to him and not be a part of this world. This world is not the ordinary world we live in, but rather the world that’s around us or the people that’s around us who makes us sin/does sin. But it is clearly mentioned that the Jewish authorities belong to this world (the world/people around us that make us sin/do sin). To conclude, following the Jewish authorities is surely a bad thing to do.

    The second thing that we’re going to talk about is, the big importance of preaching. Now, in this scripture, we can see Jesus saying that when we lift the Son of Man, we will know who he is. So, lift in this sentence surely means bringing up and bringing up Jesus Christ technically means preaching the Word of God to people. So basically when we preach the Word of God we get to know God way more. 

    Because, when we take the initiative to preach the Word of God, our sins and the bad things we do that that has been blocking the voice of the Holy Spirit are going to go away. So, we will get to hear the Holy Spirit better now. The Holy Spirit basically gives us knowledge about God. So, technically we get to know God more. 

    So friends from today onwards, let us not forget that these two things that we heard about today are very important. And, that we have to follow it. Let’s also remember that when we do this we are making God happy because we are technically doing what he wants. Let’s also remember one more thing, which is that when we do all these 2 things, we will surely know God more which is basically us hearing THE HOLY SPIRIT’S VOICE LOUDER!
