Day 118 - God Is Always Ready To Listen To You
Focal Scripture: Luke 5:12-16
Hello, everyone. My name is Bryan, and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we turn our heads towards the 5th chapter of Luke, verses 12-16. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.5.12-16
In this scripture, we can see God reflecting this scripture in our everyday lives. On some occasions, we might lose our lives through the tight grasp of sin, but this scripture tells us how to be relieved from it, how to release its grip. Through this scripture, we can understand that there are two steps we can take to be released from this so-called grip. Let’s see what it is.
The number one step is that if you want to be relieved or released from “sin”, a very corrupt thing, you have to first develop the mindset to understand that what you did is wrong. You have to understand that what you did is the direct opposite of how God wanted you, the child of God, the chosen one of God, to live. And you have to understand that what you did is worthy of the never-settling flame of hell. When you develop that self-awareness, you’re halfway to that release.
This is when you have to repent to God about what you did (sin). This is when the second step we can do to be released comes in. The second step is to confess to God through the Priest of God. That is what is meant by what Jesus said through this chapter, “Don't tell anyone, but go straight to the priest and let him examine you; then to prove to everyone that you are cured.” After this, you can be 100% sure that you are relieved or released from that grasp of “sin".
So, friends, from today onwards, let us always remember to regain our life through these two simple steps. Let us also understand that God is a forever-loving God, always there to listen to us and take us back, so let us not be scared if our sin is too heavy or not forgivable. And one more thing, whatever sin you do, just remember that if you’re sorry for that deed, GOD IS ALWAYS READY TO LISTEN TO YOU!
