Day 113 - Humble Children
Focal Scripture: Luke 1:26-38
Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we turn our heads to the book of Luke, its 1st chapter verses, 26-38. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.1.26-38
In this scripture, we can see a very well-known Bible scripture, which is the annunciation of Mother Mary. This wonderful news was announced by the angel Gabriel. God through this scripture is telling us to comprehend 2 things. These things are very important for our daily lives and for our relationship with God. Let’s see what it is.
The first thing God wants us to comprehend is that nothing is impossible for God. God through Gabriel is telling Mother Mary that even though Elizabeth was in old age, God gave them a child. God gave them a child because God understood that Elizabeth and Zechariah were always faithful to God and they loved God. God is telling us to do the same thing that Zechariah and Elizabeth were doing. To continue praying and always know God has a plan for everything. God can do everything it's just that we have to stay faithful to God.
The second thing God wants us to comprehend is that we have to always be like Mother Mary. Mother Mary after the angel Gabriel announced the Good News said this, “I am the Lord's servant, may it happen to me as you have said.” Mother Mary always accepted God’s plan and understood that the plan of God was the best plan for her.
For her God was everything, and whatever God said, she accepted and that is the reason why she is the best servant of God. God is telling us to be like Mother Mary and also be the servant God wants, God is telling us to understand that God will give us the best plan and that being humble is very important. Mother Mary and Jesus were here to put an example in front of us so that we may be humble like them.
So friends from today onwards, let us understand these two very important things. Let us understand that nothing is impossible for God and that we have to be humble servants. When God means servants he does not mean actual servants but he means children. And so by following these two things let us be the best, HUMBLE CHILDREN!
