Day 111 - Lifted To The Top At The End

 Focal Scripture: Luke 14:7-11

Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we jump into the book of Luke, its 14th chapter verses, 7-11. Let’s head into it. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.14.7-11

In this scripture, we see Jesus saying a sentence that is said a lot of times by him which is, “All those who make themselves great will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be made great.” But in this scripture, he uses an example for this sentence. The example mentioned in the scripture is the wedding feast.

Now, in this scripture, it says that whoever takes the best place will undergo either one of these circumstances. The one circumstance is that a greater person/a more important person is going to come and ask us to move away and we are going to be forced to sit at a lower place. The second circumstance that we are going to face if we sit in the best place is that the host that invited us is going to ask us to sit at the lower place. Now, Jesus Christ is saying that this is relevant to us in this world. Let’s see how.

There are times that we are not humbling ourselves, and when those times come we are going to face one of two scenarios and those are, someone who is greater than us, in terms of spirituality and love to God is going to be sent by Jesus Christ to us and tell us to humble ourselves and ask us to start from the beginning the right way which is by humbling ourselves.

And, the other scenario is Jesus Christ which is the Holy Spirit also, is going to tell us to humble ourselves in situations where we would have the feeling to be proud or in situations where we are being proud without us knowing. So to conclude Jesus Christ is saying that he came down to this world in the most humblest form to set an example for us to follow. And, when he sees that we are not following this example it is surely going to make him really, really sad. And, we are going to lose eternal life. Because we should understand that to receive eternal life we need a relationship with God.

So, friends from today onwards, let us make sure to understand the importance of humbling ourselves. Let us make sure that we follow the example of Jesus Christ and follow it properly because when we don’t follow it it is going to make Jesus Christ sad. Let us also remember one more thing and that is when we sit at the lower place (humble ourselves) we will be, LIFTED TO THE TOP AT THE END!
