Day 109 - The Relationship With God
Focal Scripture: Mark 3:20-30
Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we are jumping into the book of Mark, its 3rd chapter verses, 20-30. Let’s head into it. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MRK.3.20-30
In this scripture, we see Jesus trying to go home and eat but is prohibited by the crowd of people who wants to hear him speak his glorious words. We also see the teachers of the law saying that there is beelzebub (satan) inside of him and Jesus replying to what the teachers of the law are saying. This reply from Jesus is what we are going to focus on today.
There are three things that he said, that is satan’s kingdom will fall and come to an end one day. Second is that, no one can steal from a strong man’s house until you tie the person and then steal. And, the third thing is that we will be forgiven for anything we do except say evil things about the Holy Spirit.
What Jesus Christ is saying through the first thing is that, if we do the things that we are not supposed to as Christians that is, not pray or not proclaim the Word of God, etc. We will surely be headed to the kingdom of satan. And Jesus Christ is just reminding us that when we head into the kingdom of satan we will fall on Judgement Day. It is not just an ordinary fall but it is going to be the deepest fall ever. We are not just going to fall but end.
Now, Jesus Christ through the second thing is saying that the strong man is Jesus Christ and the thief is us. Jesus Christ is not calling him strong, but he’s just saying that it is going to be hard to enter his home. Now, we want everything in life, so Jesus Christ is saying that only if you tie him we can get everything that is the best for us in this world. We do know it is impossible for us to tie him up. So he is saying to tie him up through spirituality. Let me explain.
When Jesus Christ says to tie him up he means, that to first enter his house (Heaven) we must be a good Christian, proclaim the Word of God, follow God’s actions, pray, etc. God is saying that if we do all this God has no other chance but to shower us with his blessings (when we leave him no chance that is technically tieing him up). So technically God is saying that in order to get into Heaven (Jesus Christ’s home) we should do all this. We have to remember this, the best thing that we can have in our life is the relationship with God that leads us to Heaven (this is the best thing we can get from God).
In the last and final thing, Jesus Christ is saying that he will forgive us even though we are drowning in the river of sins. We just have to go up to him and confess and say sorry. We have to remember that this one small word is enough for God to forgive. After we confess, we might get these disturbances from the devil about the sins we had. But we have to also remember that we have to fight back by saying, “I have put my sins in the one and only Lord’s hand.” We have to remember one more thing that is if we say evil things about the Holy Spirit we will never be forgiven and the gates of Heaven will open for us.
So friends from today onwards, let’s remember these three things from Jesus’s reply this Sunday. Let’s remember that these three things are so important and that being the right Christian is the best thing to be. The most important thing that we have to remember today is that in this world the best thing we can have is THE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!
