Day 108 - Give Us Everything

 Focal Scripture: Luke 9:10-17

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of Luke, its 9th chapter verses, 10-17. Let’s head into it. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.9.10-17

In this scripture, we can see one of the most known stories of the Bible. Jesus today, is telling us to follow him or follow what he did in this world/in this scripture. Let’s see what it is.

Jesus Christ is telling us that as Christians, we are the chosen people of God and as the chosen people of God we have to follow his actions. Now, let us recall his actions in this scripture. His actions were three things, which are: praying to God/thanking him, proclaiming the Word of God and lastly helping others in need.

Now, we do know the first two things, which are praying to God and pr    oclaiming the Word of God. Now, let’s refresh our memory about these 2 things. Firstly, we have praying to God. Now, if we look back we can see the abundant blessings that he has given us. An example is today. Now, have we ever thought if we deserved any of those blessings, if we did think about it, we would know that the answer is no. Because, to God all of us are perfect. Now, how can we not say thank you to a Father like that? God is not asking us for rituals or big prayers, he just wants a thank you. When he hears this, his heart blooms open.

Secondly, we have proclaiming the Word of God. Now we know that as Christians we have a responsibility or duty to proclaim the Word of God. Now, we might be wondering why do we have this responsibility? It is because, of 2 things. The first thing is, God wants to spread his love over all of mankind. The second thing is, God wants to see if we are actually following his commandments/technically seeing if we are the right Christians. Or technically we can say that by proclaiming the Word of God we are, helping others. This leads to the third thing or the last thing.

Which is, helping others in need. In this scripture, God gave these people food because he knew they deserved it. God is saying that he thinks everyone deserves everything. But, everyone has ups and downs. He is also saying that we can at least try to help them. Now, we might also have some downs and we might not be in the situation or the circumstance to help others, but God is saying that if we give everything that we have, he will obviously give us everything like 100% give us everything.

So friends from today onwards, let us remember these three things. Let us not forget that if we do these things we will surely be rewarded more than anything else. Let us especially remember the 3rd thing, which is to help others in need. Let us not forget that if we give them a little bit of everything that we can possibly give God will surely GIVE US EVERYTHING!
