Day 107 - One And Only Way

Focal Scripture: John 6:35-46

Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of John, its 6th chapter verses, 35-46. Let’s head into it. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/JHN.6.35-46

In this scripture, we see Jesus saying that he is the bread of life and that we will not regret coming to him. For today, we will only focus on three sets of verses: verse 35, verses 37-40 and verse 45.

In verse 35, Jesus Christ tells us that he is the bread of life and that we will never again be thirsty or hungry. And, when Jesus Christ said that, he meant our downs in our life. Because, as we know we have ups and downs in our lives. And God is saying through this verse that he is going to take care of the downs in our lives if we believe that Jesus Christ is the bread of life. And, God is saying that this is the reward for this wonderful thing that we did.

In verses 37-40, Jesus Christ is saying that as Christians we have to go to him. God is also through this set of verses reminding us two super important things And that is that, Jesus Christ came down into this world to save us from our sins (dying on the Cross), and also that God is giving us choices in our lives. Let me explain.

The choices that God is giving us are either the narrow road or the straight road. Now, God is telling us that when we take the narrow road we will miss out on worldly things like, enjoyment or entertainment or a lot of friends or getting appreciated by others. But rather we will be put down, or we will be looked down at. But God is assuring us that after walking on this narrow road we will reach Heaven and see him. Now, God is also telling us something else and that is, when we take the straight road we will get all of the worldly things but we will miss out on the chance of meeting our Father.

Now last but not least, in verse 45, Jesus Christ is saying that when we listen to the Word of God we come closer to God. God is also saying that the only way to move closer to God is to read the Bible daily and believe that the Word of God is the truth and that it is the only thing that can save us.

So friends from today onwards, let us make sure to remember these three sets of verses and let us understand how much change we can have in our daily life through these sets of verses. Let us also make sure to understand that God is the one and only way, and that through him is the only way to be saved. Let us also on the Third Sunday after Pentecost, which is today, remember that our Lord God Almighty is the, ONE AND ONLY WAY!
