Day 102 - God Will Surely Answer Us

 Focal Scripture: John 21:1-14

    In this scripture, we see the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection. Now, today on this 2nd Sunday after Easter, Jesus is reminding us about something that we can be sure about. Jesus is also telling us something really important that we have to keep in our minds. Let’s see what it is.

    First of all, something that we can be sure about is that if we follow God’s commandments or God’s words (the Bible) without hesitation we will be blessed with God’s beautiful love and he will surely give us what we need. The proof of this assurance is today’s scripture. Let me explain. 

    So, as we know Peter and the other disciples went fishing. But, when they were fishing they could not find any fish. But, when Jesus appeared and asked them to throw the net from the right side of the boat, they immediately did, without any hesitation. And, as we also know they did get what they needed for sure. So, God is technically telling us to follow the disciples' actions (following God’s words immediately). 

    Second of all, something really important that we have to know about is, that all of the troubles or bad times that we face are God’s test and we know that, but God is saying through this scripture that when we turn to God at those really, really bad times God will gift us for sure and we can for sure know that we received our Eternal Life because we did the right thing. 

    This brings us back to Job or the disciples in this scripture. Job had no hope but he still stayed faithful to God and God gave him everything. The disciples didn’t know what to do, they didn’t know what was the next phase of their life, and they were scared, but God appeared in front of them and that undoubtedly gave them comfort and happiness. 

    So friends from today onwards, let us make sure to follow our Lord God Almighty’s words immediately because as we know we will get the best thing, God’s love. Let us also make sure that we know the very important thing God told us today, and that we stick by the good things that God said are the best thing to do. Let us also remember one more thing, if we do both of these things GOD WILL SURELY ANSWER US!
