Day 101 - Will Not Lose The Breath Of Life
Focal Scripture: John 20:19-23
Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, the focal scripture we have is John 20:19-23. Let’s head into it. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/JHN.20.19-23
In this scripture, we can see Jesus appearing to the disciples after he rose from death. Today, through this scripture God is telling us something that we have to understand and know how beautiful it is because it truly is beautiful. And, God is telling us one more thing that we have to do. Let’s see what it is.
Firstly, let us see the beautiful thing that God wants us to understand. The beautiful thing is the importance of us Christians/us human beings. Now, the importance is that when we were born we had the breath of life. Now, this takes us back to Adam and Eve. Because they came to life after God gave them the breath of life. Now, we might be thinking what is the breath of life? The breath of life is the Holy Spirit.
Okay, not only us Christians but everyone who is in this world has the breath of life when they are born. Because without the breath of life, you cannot live. And, some people they go to different religions or do different stuff, and all of this is not something that they are supposed to do as children of God because they have the breath of life (the Holy Spirit). And, when they do these they slowly start to lose the breath of life (Holy Spirit).
Now, if you’re reading this/or if you still love God and thank him for today, God is telling you that the breath of life (the Holy Spirit) is still with you. Because praying to God is surely the action of the Holy Spirit (the breath of life). This technically indicates that we have the Holy Spirit with us.
This is where God is telling us to do one more thing. Now, as we know if we pray to God we are doing the actions of the Holy Spirit. And, God is telling us that because we have the Holy Spirit we are the chosen people of God. And, since we are the chosen people of God we have responsibilities that we have to carry out. And, the one responsibility is preaching the Word of God (the thing God wanted us to do).
We know that the disciples were the closest people to Jesus Christ and that they indeed had the Holy Spirit with them, and what else do we know? We know that they preached the Word of God to their brothers and sisters around the world who turned their backs towards the Lord. So, Jesus is telling us this thing, Jesus is telling us that the reason why the Holy Spirit is still with us is that we have to carry out the responsibility (preaching the Word of God).
So friends from today onwards, let us understand the beautiful truth and let us make sure to not move away from that beautiful truth. Let us remember that we have to carry out the responsibility that we are bound to do because we have the Holy Spirit. Let us also remember one more thing: if we carry out the responsibility that we are bound to do as the chosen people of God we surely WILL NOT LOSE THE BREATH OF LIFE!
