Day 100 - Easter: We Resurrect
Focal Scripture: Matthew 28:1-10
Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Before we head into our focal scripture, I want to wish all of you a Happy and Peaceful Easter. I also thank everyone that was with me at this series to know more about the Bible for 100 days. Now, onto the focal scripture of today which is, Matthew 28:1-10. Let’s head into it. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.28.1-10
In this scripture, as we all know is talking about Jesus’ resurrection after he died on the cross. Today, as we also know is one of the most important and joyful days for us Christians. Because the resurrection was the bringing of peace to this world. Today, we are going to see what Jesus on the day of Easter is telling us. And, the 2 reasons why we have to follow what Jesus is telling us.
The thing that Jesus is telling us this Easter Day is, we have to resurrect too. Now, we might be thinking, that is impossible and even if it is possible we are not dead, then how? Okay, so when Jesus is telling us to resurrect he does not mean us to resurrect our physical life but rather our spiritual life. Now, we might be thinking, what should we resurrect from? This is the answer: the answer is the 2 reasons.
The first reason is that we have to resurrect from our sins and bad doings because this is why God died on the cross for us (this is the main reason). And, the second reason is that we have to resurrect from our sins because as Christians (the chosen people of God) we have to follow God’s actions.
And since today is the day God brought peace into this world, we also have to, because as Christians we also have to bring peace into this world and that is not possible if we don’t get rid of our sins (resurrect ourselves). We, Christians, bring peace into this world by preaching the Word of God, which will get rid of the sins of other people. But, according to what God said in Matthew 7:5, it is wrong to free people from sin if we ourselves are not going to.
So friends from today onwards, let’s remember to follow what Jesus is telling us on this Easter Day. Because, as Christians, we have to. Let’s remember that we have to resurrect from our sins because that is technically the reason why our Lord God Almighty died on the cross for us. Let’s also remember one more thing, that is, as Christians, we have to follow God’s actions and that we have to preach the Word of God, but that is not possible until WE RESURRECT!
