Day 91 - With Faith We Will Surely Be Straightened Up

Focal Scripture: Luke 13:10-17

    In this scripture, we can see Jesus healing a woman who had an evil spirit that made her ill for eighteen years (18 years). Through this scripture, we can understand how great our Lord God Almighty’s love is and how this woman is related to us and why we have to follow this woman. Let’s get into it.

    First of all, let’s understand why our Lord God Almighty is so great in love. As Christ was preaching he saw a woman who was ill. Now, he could have just went to wherever he wanted to after preaching. But, Jesus after preaching came to her and healed her. This incident shows the big amount of love God has for us. 

    Second of all, let’s know how this woman is related to us. We are related to this woman, because we are bent over and cannot straighten up. Now, right now we might be confused. Because some of us, when we look at ourselves, we might look perfectly fine without any problems. This is where there’s it gets interesting, we are bent over in terms of spirituality. We cannot straighten up because of the sins that we do, that make us bent over.  

    And, this problem is really bad because if we continue to be bent over until the second coming of Jesus, God is surely not going to be happy with us. Now, let’s take a look at why we have to follow this woman’s actions. Because, through this woman’s actions, we will be straightened up. Now to be honest, we only need 1 thing, which is faith.

    The one thing this woman had. Because without faith she wouldn’t even be there in the synagogue. She was in the synagogue because of the strong faith that she had. The faith that lead her to get up from her bed, walk to the synagogue, just to hear Jesus’s ‘full of Spirit words’. And, this is what we should follow. Because, through this 1 thing, we will be straightened up and filled with the Holy Spirit. 

    So friends from today onwards, let’s make sure to thank God for his great love that he shows us everyday. Let’s also make sure to follow this woman. The woman who had the 1 thing that can heal any problem, faith. Let’s also make sure that we remember to know that, WITH FAITH WE WILL SURELY BE STRAIGHTENED UP!
