Day 87 - With God You Are Your Full Version

Focal Scripture: John 2:1-11

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we turn our heads to the book of John, its 2nd chapter verses, 1-11. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/JHN.2.1-11 And, welcome to the Sunday before the big lent.

In this scripture, we can see one of the most known stories of the Bible, ‘The Wedding of Cana’. We can also see that through this scripture, God is telling us 2 things. Let us see what it is.

The first thing God wanted to tell us is that Mother Mary is there for us. Now let me explain. Now as we can see in the scripture, Mother Mary is the person that told Jesus Christ about the shortage of wine. And, we also know that if Mother Mary didn’t do that, the problem wouldn’t be solved.

We also know that Mother Mary’s presence at that wedding was just as a guest and she was not related to anyone there. But, even though she was just an ordinary guest, she cared for the people. She knew at that moment the amount of embarrassment the wedding family would face so she took care of it.

From this, we can understand two things. Number 1, we should follow Mother Mary’s actions. We should not be the type of person who says ‘no’ to helping other people we don’t know but says ‘yes’ to helping the people we do and don't know. Because Mother Mary was not like that and she doesn’t want you to become like that at all. We should help everyone. Number 2, just tell Mother Mary all your problems and she will surely tell her son, Jesus Christ.

The second thing God wants to tell us is that we are the jars of water that were in the scripture. Let me explain. Now, when we look at ourselves we might not be the full version/the best ‘us’. We might just be the ordinary person that we think is not good at all. But, we have to remember something, when God commands it and makes it happen, we will be filled just like the jars. In terms of, happiness, spirituality, and in terms of everything. And for this to happen, we have to be loyal to Christ and do what he asks of us.

So friends from today onwards, let’s follow Mother Mary’s act. The act of saying yes to ‘everyone’ who asks for help. And, let’s also remember that we are the jars of water. The jars of water may look ordinary and not great, but with God, we can be filled, we can be our filled versions. And, let’s remember that the conclusion for this is that, WITH GOD YOU ARE YOUR FULL VERSION!
