Day 84 - Increase Our Faith
Focal Scripture: Mark 6:1-6
Hey everyone, my name is Bryan, and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we hop into the book of Mark, its 6th chapter verses. 1-6. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MRK.6.1-6
In this scripture, we can see Jesus going back to his hometown. Now we can understand that the people who were listening to Jesus Christ didn’t actually believe. Now if we go deeper into this set of Bible verses, we can understand that Jesus Christ is telling us something indirectly.
Now, through this scripture, we can see that the people who were listening to Jesus Christ did not believe him. We know that having no faith is a bad thing. But, we have to understand that these people only listened to one teaching of Jesus Christ and they had low faith.
Through this scripture, Jesus is saying two things. One is that we’re doing a bad thing, which is having low faith. Because these people only listened to Jesus’s teaching one time and they had low faith. But, that’s not the case for us. We have the Holy Bible/the Word of God which tells us the teachings, sayings, and miracles of God, and still, we’re low in faith. On top of that, the whole of the New Testament is telling us of the proof of Jesus Christ and how to be good believers. And still, we’re low in faith.
The second thing Jesus wants to tell us is that we have to increase our faith. Because, first of all without faith we are no believers of God and we can't be classified as ideal children of God. Second of all, having no faith leads us to have no love for God. And, that’s going to make us fall further from God. And, obviously, God is going to continue his everlasting love but still, God is going to be sad. Because we are falling further away from him.
So friends from today onwards, let’s not do the bad thing. Because, when we do the bad thing God is going to be really sad as we fail to act as proper kids of Christ. So, let’s remember that we can leap over and avoid all these problems if we INCREASE OUR FAITH!
