Day 82 - Open The Door

Focal Scripture: Matthew 4:18-22

    Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we are going to turn our heads into the book of Matthew, its 4th chapter verses, 18-22. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.4.18-22

    In this scripture, we can see Jesus choosing the first set of disciples, which are, Simon (Peter), Andrew, James and John. Today, we’re going to learn something so important from the disciples, that this knowledge will lead us to become the proper children of God.

    That something that we have to learn from the disciples is the permit that they gave Jesus to enter their life. Jesus just came up to them and told them to come with him, which indirectly meant leaving everything and going with Jesus. The disciples clearly knew that, but even though it was a tough thing to do, they did it. Because for them everything else came after Jesus. 

    That’s why this something is so important because if we do this, God will surely be happy and he will be so proud of us because he knows that we love him, and we value him more than anything. And, that’s all he wanted, for us to love him. An example is, when he died on the cross, he went through all that suffering to take away our sins and for us to return to God and for us to value Him above everything else. 

    So friends from today onwards, let’s make sure to open the door for Jesus when he’s knocking. When we open the door, God is going to be so happy and proud because us loving him is all that he wants. So, let’s remember that we should always OPEN THE DOOR!
