Day 70 - Be Alert For The Second Coming Of Jesus
Focal Scripture: Mark 13:32-37
Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome back to Bible Scoop. Today, we jump into the book of Mark, its 13th chapter verses, 32-37. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MRK.13.32-37
In this scripture, we see Jesus telling us to be alert while telling a parable to the people there and to us. When we dive deeper into these Bible verses, we can understand more about the second coming of Jesus. And, the reason why Jesus asked us to be alert.
Now, we can see that in the parable there is a master and his servants, we can understand that the master is, Jesus and the servants are, us. As the parable says, the master left his house. The parable does not say that the master left permanently which obviously means, just temporarily. So, as the master is Jesus, when Jesus ascended into Heaven he didn’t ascend permanently but instead temporarily. Which means, that there is going to be a second coming of Jesus.
When Jesus said to be alert, he didn’t mean to literally be alert but spiritually. Now, all of us might be super confused, but spiritually alert is when we always pray and live according to the will of God. Now the reason why Jesus asked us to be spiritually alert is for us to not be asleep. Now, again not literally asleep but spiritually asleep.
Being spiritually asleep makes God really sad because, spiritually asleep means that we do not live according to God’s will, we don’t pray always. So, when the second coming of Jesus happens, and when he sees his children spiritually asleep, he will be really sad.
So friends from today onwards, let’s listen to God, and be alert for the second coming of Jesus. Let’s also not be spiritually asleep, because being spiritually asleep makes God so sad. And, let’s also remember that the something which will make God happy, and the right thing to do in our everyday lives is to, BE ALERT FOR THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS!
