Day 69 - A Never Closing Welcome

Focal Scripture: Luke 15:1-32

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of Luke, its 15the chapter verses, 1-32. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.15.1-32

In this scripture, we see Jesus telling 3 parables to the people there. Now if we look more closely, we will see that all these three parables highlight one moral: No matter how much of a sinner you are, God will forgive you. God is not a biased Father, and, God will love everyone the same way.
Now, let’s zoom into to the first two parables which are almost the same. Now, we can understand that the two people in both of the parables, are God. We can also make out that we are the lost sheep and the lost coin. We can see that when we're lost in terms of spirituality, God will go to the furthest end to find us.

Now, even if we’re sinners, Jesus will still love us, because in the parable Jesus said that the man left all the other sheep and that woman left all the other coins just to look for that one lost sheep and that one lost coin.

Now, let’s go over to the last parable, which is the lost son. We can see that the younger brother sold the property which he inherited from his father, to get the money. And, after he did, he lived a reckless life. We can also see the older brother working for his father.

It's obvious that the father is God and we are the younger son. We live our lives recklessly, we follow the paths paved by worldly desires, and we turn our backs to God. despite all this, if we turn back to Jesus in regret and guilt, as soon as he sees us, he won’t do anything else but come up to us, smile, hug and kiss us. And, he’s going to give us the best of the best.

So friends from today onwards, let’s not turn our backs to God and follow the paths paved by worldly desires. And, even if we accidentally do, let’s not be too worried if God's ever going to take us back. Because God is a loving, merciful and forgiving father. And, let’s also remember that, God will have for us, A NEVER CLOSING WELCOME!
