Day 67 - Sitting Down In The Lowest Place
Focal Scripture: Luke 14:1, 7-14
Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we turn our heads to the book of Luke, its 14th chapter verses, 1, 7-14. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.14.1,7-14
In this scripture, we see Jesus getting invited to one of the leading Pharisees's house to have a meal. Now, we also see Jesus telling a parable to all that were present there. Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can understand that through the parable, Jesus is telling us to do something in our everyday lives.
What that something Jesus is telling us to do in our everyday lives is, to make sure to know and understand that our height in terms of success and achievements are not something we personally achieved, but something God gifted us and blessed us with. So, God is telling us to humble ourselves and pray and give thanks to God.
Because, sometimes when we have accomplished things or when we’re high in terms of success we usually want to sit down in the best place, the best place where we don’t pray or give thanks to God. And, at the last day when Jesus sees us still sitting on the best place, Jesus is going to be so sad that his children had not listened to him.
So friends from today onwards, let’s listen to the something Jesus is telling us to do in our everyday lives. The something wherein we’re not sitting in the best place and following worldly desires. The something wherein we sit down in the lowest place, where we humble ourselves and follow God’s will. And, let’s also remember one thing, when Jesus comes down on the last day he is going to be so happy when he sees us SITTING DOWN IN THE LOWEST PLACE!
