Day 66 - Do What Jesus Christ Did
Focal Scripture: Luke 13:22-30
In this scripture, we see Jesus talking about the door to Heaven. And Jesus also refers to this door as the narrow door. Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of these Bible verses, we can understand that it's not quite easy to walk through this door. In fact, it's incredibly challenging. Fear not, Jesus's teachings throughout the New Testament helps us with this task.
Now, the teaching Jesus gave us throughout the New Testament is to, follow what he did and mirror his actions. Actions done to help, care for and most importantly, love those around us, even our greatest enemies.
Jesus has been asking us to do the mentioned a countless number of times. However, we've never actually listened. And, if we continue not paying attention to this teaching, on the day of Judgment, we won’t be able to walk through this narrow door and access eternal life. Then, we’ll go up to him and knock this narrow door and say that, we have been baptized with your holy water. But, Jesus will give us this reply, “Even if you have been baptized, you have not worked hard for your salvation to come upon you.”
So friends from today onwards, let’s pay close attention to Jesus’s teaching this time. And, let’s also remember that we have to do what Jesus Christ did. We have to help, care and love those around us regardless of who and what they are to us. And let’s remember this, to enter the narrow door of Heaven and for our salvation to come upon us, we have to live by this teaching, we have to DO WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID!
