Day 64 - The Right Child To God

Focal Scripture: Matthew 21:28-32

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we turn our heads to the book of Matthew, its 21st chapter verses, 28-32. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.21.28-3

In this scripture, we see Jesus telling a parable about two sons, to the people there. Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of these Bible verses we can understand that Jesus is asking a question and later on, asking us to do something for the rest of our lives.

The question Jesus is asking us is, are we like the elder son or the younger son to God? We have to admit that we sometimes are like the younger son to God. We say to God that we will follow the path that he has planned for us, we say that we’re going to follow his commands. But, in reality, we follow the path that leads to worldly desires, we follow worldly desires, and we do worldly actions.

The thing that Jesus is asking us to do for the rest of our lives is, to become like the elder son to God. Jesus is asking us, to repent and say sorry for all the terrible sins that we did throughout our lives. Jesus is asking us, to follow the path that he has planned for us, Jesus is asking us, to follow his commands for the rest of our lives.

So, friends from today onwards let’s answer the question Jesus is asking us, by saying that we are the elder son. Let’s do what Jesus asked us, let’s repent and say sorry for all the sins we did against God, let’s follow the path that Jesus has planned for us, and most importantly, let’s follow Jesus’ commands for the rest of our lives. And, let’s remember that if we do this we will surely be THE RIGHT CHILD TO GOD!
