Day 57 - Unpaid Service

Focal Scripture: Matthew 10:5-16

    Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we jump into the book of Matthew, its 10th chapter verses, 5-16. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.10.5-16

    In this scripture, we see Jesus sending his twelve disciples for their mission. Today, we'll only be focusing on verse 8. In verse 8 we can see that Jesus is saying this to his disciples, “You have received without paying, so give without being paid.” Now, Jesus didn’t only mean to say this to his disciples but also to us. Let’s break it down.

    Now, when Jesus said that we have received without paying, he meant that we have been blessed abundantly without us paying or giving anything. And, what Jesus meant when he said that we have to give without being paid, is that we have to give the people a way of being blessed abundantly and the way is to preach the Word of God to them, because as we know the Word of God is Jesus.

    So friends, from today onwards, let’s be grateful for all the abundant blessings we get without paying or giving and let’s also give people a way to get blessed abundantly. And, we have to always remember that the way which'll lead them to being blessed abundantly is the Word of God because, as we know the Word of God is Jesus. So, let’s do all of this and let’s be happy that we put out UNPAID SERVICE!
