Day 45 - Passover: The Greatest Gift
Focal Scripture: Luke 22:14-30
Hello everyone, my name is Bryan, and welcome to Bible Scoop. Before, we head into today’s reflection, I just want to wish you a very Happy Passover. Now, over to the focal scripture, Luke 22:14-30. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.22.14-30
In this scripture, we can see Jesus celebrating his last supper with his disciples. And, this scripture or this story is super well-known to us. Now if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can understand that this ‘Last Supper of Jesus’ is telling us something very important.
And that is that, Jesus offered the bread and wine as a symbol that he was going to offer his body and his blood to us. The bread and wine was a symbol that he was going to get crucified for our sake due to the love he has for us, a symbol for the forgiveness of sin and a symbol that he would do anything to cure us of our sin. This was how deep his love for us was.
So friends, I want to invite you to give at least a little back to Jesus for all the things he did for us. He basically gave us his life, he put everything on the table for us without holding anything back and honestly, there’s nothing we could possibly give in return. So let’s at least take the effort to give something back to him. Although incomparable to what he did for us, let’s give him praise, let’s love him and let's adore him. Let’s let Jesus know that we’re forever grateful to him for giving us THE GREATEST GIFT!
