Day 44 - Getting Our Priorities Straight

Focal Scripture: John 12:20-26

    Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we dive into the book of Matthew, its 12th chapter verses, 20-26. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/JHN.12.20-26

    In this scripture, we see Jesus saying, “If you love your life here, you will lose it but if you do hate it you will keep it for eternal life.” Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can understand that Jesus is teaching us a lesson through this scripture. 

    The lesson is that, we will lose our eternal life that’s waiting for us in heaven, if we hold too fast to our life here on Earth. This knowledge should lead us to learning to let go, so that all will be given to us, both on Earth and in Heaven. And we have to learn to also be ready at all times to leave what we have here without hesitation, so that something greater will be of our lives that is, to be one with Christ and to share his glory. 

    So friends, let’s always remember to get our priorities straight. Which is to not hold fast to our life here on Earth. Let's make sure to have our worldly possessions and ties in the second spot in our priorities list. And, let's make sure that God sits on top of that list. And with this, we should be GETTING OUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!
