Day 43 - An End To Sin Leaping

Focal Scripture: Matthew 25:1-13

    Hey everyone, my name is Bryan, and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we jump into the book of Matthew, its 22nd chapter verses, 23-33. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.22.23-33

    In this scripture, we see Jesus answering a question the Sadducees asked him. Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can see that Jesus is not only talking about the dead but also us. Let me explain. 

    I feel like Jesus was smartly using this example as a representation of our lives. Let's try to break it down, shall we? So, when speaking about the woman, Jesus is referring to us. And with the mention of the husbands, Jesus was referring to our sins. Okay, let's add some context to these references.  

    Jesus is letting us know that it's human nature to move from one sin to another. After the death of one, we are quick to jump over to another. And the cycle is never-ending. Not to worry though, in this scripture Jesus gives us a way out.  

    It's said to us that if risen to life in terms of our spirituality, we will be free from any bonds that existed before. That's right, if we are willing to be raised to life spiritually, we will break free from the toxic and dangerous cycle that would only end with our destruction. And how do we get raised to life spiritually you may ask, well, we do this, by getting closer to Christ and by asking him to do this in our life after we surrender control to him. Let him take over your life. Let him work his wonders. Let him put AN END TO SIN LEAPING!
