Day 42 - The Wiser Decision

Focal Scripture: Matthew 25:1-13

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Before we head into the focal scripture of today, I just want to wish you all a Blessed Passion Week. Now onto the focal scripture for today, Matthew 25:1-13. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.25.1-13

In this scripture, we see Jesus telling a parable about 10 young women, five wise and five foolish, to the people there with him that day. Now if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can understand that this parable is telling us to make a decision. And, that decision is between choosing to become a wise person and choosing to become a foolish person. Let’s break down what it is that the scripture means when it talks about the foolish person and the wise person.

First of all, let’s break down what a foolish person is. A foolish person is someone who is underprepared for the second coming of Christ. A person who fails to do what is required of them by Christ. A person who didn't take enough effort to pile up enough good deeds and spiritual acts in their corner for the coming of Christ.

Now over to the wise person. A wise person is the exact opposite of a foolish person. Now this is a person that we might want to become. Because this person acts wisely and foresees the coming of Christ and make the appropriate preparations in accordance with his second coming. This person will do as many good things and act in accordance with Christ's teachings and instructions as much as possible.

So friends, let’s remember that being the wise person is always the best. And, let’s remember that it's always great to be prepared when awaiting Christ's second coming. Because, it's when we prepare that we won't have to panic about not having what needs to be had and not having the requirements to meet Christ and share in his glory. Let's also remember that when Christ descends, there won't be any extra time given to us, and we won't be able to run back to get what we should've brought along in the first place. And, let’s also remember that we won't miss out on the chance of getting to be one with Christ in his second coming if we choose to be a wise person, and that's why being one is obviously, THE WISER DECISION!
