Day 41 - Hosanna: Triumph Always Comes After Humility

Focal Scripture: John 12:12-19

Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Before, hopping into the focal scripture of today, I just want to wish all of you a happy Palm Sunday. Now, over to the focal scripture for today, John 12:12-19. Let’s go! https://www.bible.com/bible/296/JHN.12.12-19

In this scripture, we see Jesus making his triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Now, this story is super familiar to us. If we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can understand that Jesus is teaching us 2 lessons with regards to him riding a donkey that day.

Now first, we have to be humble at all times. Because Jesus himself showed the greatest humility by choosing the most discarded and the most humble animal in the animal kingdom. He could have chosen a horse or gotten into a chariot to show majesty but instead, he chose a very unnoticed and humble animal to show humility. So, we have to follow Jesus.

And the lesson up next, how is Jesus choosing a donkey relevant to our lives. Remember that Jesus chose the animal that was the lowest of the lowest among the animals. And the very animal that we thought would never be respected or put to good use, was used by Jesus to make his way into his mega plan. This shows us that, no matter how inferior we are, no matter how unrespected we are and no matter how little we are in others' eyes, Jesus will still use us for His mega plan.

So friends, from today onwards, let’s take into consideration what Jesus is teaching us, which is to be humble at all times. Let’s also know that, no matter how cast aside and disrespected we are, Jesus is still going to use us for His mega plan. And, let’s be certain of the fact that TRIUMPH ALWAYS COMES AFTER HUMILITY!
