Day 40 - Out From The Tomb Of Sin

Focal Scripture: John 11:28-46

Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of John, its 11th chapter verses, 28-46. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/JHN.11.28-46

In this scripture, we see Jesus resurrecting Lazarus from the dead. Now if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can understand that we can relate to Lazarus and that the scripture is telling us something very relieving.

This is how we relate to Lazarus. While we’re not literally dead like Lazarus, we’re spiritually dead, meaning that we’re closed in a tomb of sin. And sometimes, we think to ourselves that we can’t see Jesus and be cured of these sins, or that there's not a chance of Jesus commanding his angels to free us from our wrappings of sin and to open the stone that’s blocking us from seeing Jesus.

And to that, the scripture is saying something super relieving and that is that, Jesus is going to see us through the thickness of our tomb. Jesus is telling us that we will see him and be freed from our sins, because he loves us. But yes, this doesn’t give us a free pass to sin.

So, friends from today onwards let’s know that Jesus will resurrect us from our state of spiritual death. Let's know that Jesus will call out to us from outside the tomb of sin, and that we will find our way out by following Christ's voice. Let's know that we are going to be unwrapped of the wrappings of sin that kept us from moving spiritually and kept us in bondage. Let's know that our God will make sure that the tomb stone is rolled aside and that we will be OUT FROM THE TOMB OF SIN!
