Day 37 - The Calming Of Our Storms
Focal Scripture: Matthew 8:23-27
Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we dive into the book of Matthew, its 8th chapter verses, 23-27. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.8.23-27
In this scripture, we can see a familiar story in which Jesus calms a really wild storm. Now from this scripture, we can understand that this storm was created by God to see if the disciples with Jesus had enough faith, to see if they believed that Jesus had what it took to get them to safety. If we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can see that the scripture is teaching us a big lesson.
And that lesson is that we should never be afraid of the troubles and problems that are in our lives now. Because, those troubles and problems are basically the storm in our lives and just as Jesus calmed an actual, literal storm, he’s going to calm our storm too, that’s the reason why we shouldn’t be scared.
And, now, we might be thinking “Why are these troubles and problems occurring in our lives?” The reason why these problems or troubles occur in our lives is because, God wants us to see if we have faith even in the toughest situations.
So friends, from today onwards, let’s know that there’s absolutely no need to be afraid of the storm in our lives because Jesus is going to calm that storm. And, let’s show God that we have faith even in the toughest situations and let’s be ready for THE CALMING OF OUR STORMS!
