Day 36 - He Came Down Here To Save Us

Focal Scripture: Luke 9:18-20

    In this scripture, we read Peter saying that Jesus is the Messiah when Jesus asked Peter who he thought Jesus was. Now, we have to learn from Peter's words in this scripture. 

    Just like Peter, we have to believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Now the Messiah means, “the promised deliverer of the Jewish nation prophesied in the Hebrew Bible.” We have to believe that Jesus is going to deliver us from evil. We have to believe that Jesus is going to save us no matter what. And, we have to believe that he came down here to save us. And, Peter believed all of this because the Holy Spirit was showering wisdom down on him.  

    So, friends from today onwards, let’s believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Let’s believe that Jesus is going to deliver us from evil. Let’s believe that Jesus is going to get us to a better state no matter what and let’s believe that HE CAME DOWN HERE TO SAVE US!
