Focal Scripture: Mark 5:21-43
Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Before we head into the focal scripture of today, I want to thank God for giving me the grace, the understanding, and the ability to proclaim the Gospel for one whole month. And, I want to thank all of you guys for sticking with me and for receiving the Gospel of the Lord for one whole month. Now, the focal scripture for today is, Mark 5:21-43. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MRK.5.GNBUK
In this scripture, we can see a Jewish officer approaching Jesus to tell him that his daughter was ill, he also let Jesus know that he firmly believed that if Jesus touched his daughter, she would get well. With that, Jesus set out on his way to the official's house. Along the way, a woman who had been suffering from severe bleeding for twelve years, touched Jesus’ cloak in the belief that she would get cured if she touched Jesus’ clothes.
Now, from this scripture, we have to understand that, we have to be like this officer and this woman. This officer could have just given up and wept all day long for his daughter, but he got up and went to Jesus because he had firm faith that his daughter would be made well by Jesus.
And as for the lady, she was suffering from severe bleeding for twelve years, she paid all that she had to the doctors, but there was no healing. This woman could have just stayed home and taken rest. But she went to Jesus because she knew that Jesus would grant her healing.
So friends, from today let's take these two people as role models. These two people went to Jesus because they had firm faith even in the toughest situations. They went to Jesus because they knew Jesus would save them. We have to be like that even in the toughest of situations that we face. Let’s have firm faith even in the toughest situations. Let’s know that Jesus is going to save us even in the most terrifying and hopeless situations that we face. Friends, let's have, FIRM FAITH!
