Day 29 - Set Free From Evil

Focal Scripture: Mark 5:1-20

Praise the Lord and hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of Mark, its 5th chapter verses, 1-20. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MRK.5.GNBUK

In this scripture, we can see Jesus healing a man with evil spirits. Now, we can understand that this scripture is relevant to us and that Jesus is telling us to do something really important. And this is how this scripture is relevant to us, this man literally had evil spirits, we do too, but not literally but, spiritually. Now, we might be thinking what are the evil spirits in us?

Now, the answer to that question is, the evil spirits in us are the temptations and evil thoughts that show up in our minds, and yes this man did have a redeemer and that was Jesus. Now, we might be thinking about who our redeemer is. Our redeemer is Jesus and no one and nothing else. Because, no matter the evil thoughts and temptations in our minds, God is going to hold onto us, no matter what. We have to remember that always.

And, other than loving and being faithful to him, there is one other thing he requires from us. And that's to proclaim that Jesus did cure us. Because God wants all of his children to come back to him, us and the others who turned their backs to Jesus. And he wants us to use our miraculous experiences as tools that would encourage these people to turn back to Christ.

So, friends let’s remember that no matter the evil spirits that show up in our minds, we have a redeemer whose name is Jesus and no one or nothing else. And, let’s also remember that after we get cured we have to show love and faith towards Jesus and we also we have to proclaim that Jesus did cure us, because God wants all his children back, us and all the other people who turned their backs from God. And, let's rejoice knowing that we have been SET FREE FROM EVIL!
