Day 27 - Straightened Up By Christ

 Focal Scripture: Luke 13:10-13

    Hello everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today we hop into the book of Luke, its 13th chapter, verses, 10-13. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/LUK.13.GNBUK

    In this scripture, we see Jesus is healing a woman who had an evil spirit in her that made her ill for eighteen years. And, that illness caused her to be bent over and she could not straighten up at all. Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can see that this woman’s faith is incomparable to ours and that this story is giving us a lesson. 

    Now this woman’s faith is incomparable to ours because, this woman could have just stayed home and taken rest, but she stood up from her bed and walked towards the synagogue just to hear Jesus’s words. Because she knew that all of her faith and all of her hard work would pay off.  

    This brings us to the lesson for today. Jesus saw this woman out of so many other people, and he called out to her and he placed his hands on her and she got cured. Jesus did this because he saw how much faith she had. And, this is the lesson. The lesson is that when we show the faith we have in God and when we show God that we tried our very best to come to Him, He’s going to see us through the layers of sin and He’s going to touch us and cure us. And He’s also going to give us blessings in the most unexpected times, and those blessings are going to be incredibly numerous and humongous. 

    So, friends let’s remember this woman’s faith and let’s show that faith to God. And, let’s show God the faith we have in him and that we tried our very best to be in His presence. After we do this, let’s have the joy from knowing that God saw through our layers of sin and that He cured us. And, let’s wait for the blessing that will be coming. After doing all of this, let’s be a group of people that were STRAIGHTENED UP BY CHRIST!
