Day 22 - Unbiased Master

 Focal Scripture: Matthew 20:1-16

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of Matthew, its 20th chapter, verses, 1-16. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.20.GNBUK

In this scripture, we can see Jesus telling a parable about the Kingdom of God to the people there. And, this parable is talking about a master hiring workmen at different times and paying them the same amount. Even if the workmen he called first worked for the whole day and the workmen he called last just worked for an hour.

Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can understand that the master that Jesus is referring to is God and the workmen Jesus is referring to are us. And now, if we go to the deeper meaning of why the master paid the same amount to the workmen who came first and to the workmen who came last is because God judges everyone by the same standard (as said in Romans 2:11).

This means that even if we’re more spiritual than other people God will still judge us by the same standard because God loves every single person in the world equally and that’s never going to change even if you sin. But, that doesn’t give you a free pass to sin, you still can’t sin. This also tells us that it’s never too late to look for the Kingdom of God. You can still reach out for a holy and eternal life and still get the ultimate reward.

So, friends let’s remember that God judges and loves everyone equally. Let’s also remember to not rant and complain about the favours God does for other people, people that we never expected to get rewarded. Instead, we should be happy for them and praise the Lord for his forgiving and merciful nature. Let it sink in for us that, our God is the UNBIASED MATER!
