Day 19 - Doing The Right Thing

 Focal Scripture: Philippians 2:12-15

Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book Philippians, its 2nd chapter verses, 12-15. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/PHP.2.GNBUK

Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse we can understand that Jesus is not only saying this to his disciples but to us too. From this scripture, we can take away three points as to how this scripture relates to us.

Number 1. Jesus said, “it's important to obey me while I'm away” to his disciples. When he said this he meant for us to believe in God without seeing miracles or wonders. Because, when we do this, it is super pleasing in God’s eyes.

Number 2. Jesus said, “Keep on working with fear and trembling to complete your salvation, because God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose,”. When he said this, he meant for us to pray with fear, faith, hope and, most importantly love that nothing may happen to us in this wicked world. He also makes clear that God is always at work in us, and that it’s up to us if we want that work to take effect in our lives.

Number 3. Jesus said, “Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may be innocent and pure as God's perfect children, who live in a world of corrupt and sinful people. You must shine among them like stars lighting up the sky,”. When he said this, he meant that we should not complain or argue whenever God asks us to proclaim the Gospel, so that we may be innocent and pure as God’s perfect children in this sinful, corrupt and twisted world. And, that we may shine like blessed stars to light up this spiritually dark world.

So, friends from today onwards, let’s believe in God without seeing miracles or wonders. Let’s pray with fear, faith, hope and love so that nothing bad may happen to us. Let’s open our door to God and repent for all the bad things we have done. Let's also be willing to obey God’s will. Let’s not complain or argue to God when He asks us to proclaim the Gospel, so that we may become innocent and pure as God’s perfect children. And, let’s wait for the second coming of Jesus with anticipation and a sin-free life by DOING THE RIGHT THING!
