Day 17 - Free From Worry

 Focal Scripture: James 4:1-4

    In this scripture, James is telling us telling that Friendship with the world means being God’s enemy. Now, if we go to the deeper meanings of this Bible verse, we can see that the “desire of pleasure, which is constantly fighting within us” basically, happens to us everyday. These desires of pleasure makes us want for the things we know we won’t get, makes us worry about our future. But, we’re not supposed to be worrying because there’s someone up there in heaven who has planned our future and our life right now.

    And, we should never become friends of this world because, when we sin, more ‘desires of pleasure’ and temptations will just come rushing into our lives. And, when these temptations and “desires of pleasure” comes to us, we sin even more and further anger God.

    So, friends from today onwards, let’s not let these “desires of pleasure” stand in our way in our spiritual journey. Let’s be sure that there’s someone up there in heaven that already planned our future and our life right now. Let’s not become the friends of this world. And, after we move away all these evil things from our life, let’s pray to God with FREE FROM WORRY!
