Day 15 - The Right Prayer

 Focal Scripture: Mark 10:17-23

    Hey everyone, my name is Bryan and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of Mark, its 10th chapter verses 17-23. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MRK.10.GNBUK

    In this scripture, we can see a rich man approaching Jesus while Jesus was travelling. And, the rich man asked Jesus about what he should do to receive eternal life, then Jesus replied to him by telling him to follow the ten commandments. But, the rich man replied saying that he’d been doing it since he was young. After that, Jesus looked at him with love and said that he had to sell everything he had and give that money to the poor, after Jesus said that, gloom spread all over the face of the rich man. And then Jesus looked at his disciples and said, “How hard it is to enter the Kingdom of God.”

    Now, we can say that we are like the rich man. Let me explain. The reason why we are like the rich man is because, the rich man did all the prayers and, we do this too. But, have we ever thought of keeping our favourite things, joys, wants, and our likings away just to praise God. Because, that’s the prayer God wants us to have, God wants us to assure Him that we are willing to keep all of this away just to follow Him. And, after we do this, it's going to be easier to enter the Kingdom of God. 

    So friends, let’s still continue to pray but this time on, make sacrifices by putting aside our worldly favourites. Let’s make it easier for us to enter the Kingdom of God. And, after we do all of this, let’s have the satisfaction from knowing that we did and are doing THE RIGHT PRAYER!
