Day 10 - Gather In His Name

 Focal Scripture: Matthew 18:18-20

    Hello everyone, my name is Bryan Anju Mathew and welcome to Bible Scoop. Today, we head into the book of Matthew again its, 18th chapter verses 18-20. Let’s go. https://www.bible.com/bible/296/MAT.18.GNBUK

    In this scripture, we can see that Jesus is telling us that, "what we prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and what we permit on earth will be permitted in heaven." And, Jesus is telling is also telling us that, “whenever two or three of you agree to something to pray for, and when you pray, that something will be done by the Father in heaven, and when two or three of you come together in my name, I will be with them.” 

    So, now let’s break down what Jesus meant when he said “prohibit” and “permit.” And, what Jesus meant when he said, “whenever two or three of you agree to something to pray for, and when you pray, that something will be done by the Father in heaven and when two or three of you come together in my name, I will be with them.”

    First of all, what Jesus meant, when he said, “what you prohibit here on earth, will be prohibited in heaven and what you permit here on earth will be permitted in heaven” is that the way you judge people will be the same way God judges you. And, the way that you allow people to do something, will be the same way God is going to allow you to do something. 

    Second of all, what Jesus meant when he said, “whenever two or three of you agree to something to pray for, and when you pray, that something will be done by the Father in heaven and when two or three of you come together in my name, I will be with them,” is that when our family or a group of friends comes together and agrees to pray for something, the Father in heaven will answer that prayer. And, whenever our family comes together in the name of Christ (which is proclaiming the word of God), then Jesus will be with us. 

    So, friends from today onwards, let’s get together with our family and be thankful for all the blessings God gave us and let’s praise him. Let’s come together with our family in the name of Christ and let’s GATHER IN HIS NAME!
